Why the Worry Is Completely Fair
Power cuts are a normal part of business in most Indian cities — not an exception to plan around. Connection drops happen mid-transaction, not conveniently between them. A card machine, a customer waiting, and a half-finished bill is a genuinely bad moment for any showroom.
And with a paper bill book, at least you could always keep writing. Nobody wants to tell a customer 'sir, system down hai' while they're standing there holding their card.
What Actually Happens
Billing continues offline. The bill is created and saved locally on the device. You can print or share it even while disconnected. When connection returns, everything syncs automatically with no re-entry required.
Bill numbers stay in sequence, so nothing is duplicated or skipped — which matters for both accounting and audit. Stock deducted offline updates centrally once you're back online. And a tablet or phone with mobile data works as a backup terminal during a power cut.
